Sphero Has Officially Rolled Around The World

Prepare to add another explorer to the history books. With fans like you at the controls, Sphero has officially rolled around the entire circumference of the Earth! Since day one, we’ve been tracking his movements on Spheroverse and keeping an eye on your stats (like collisions and color changes). For a robot that fits in the palm of your hand, we think rolling the Earth’s 24,901 mile circumference is a milestone worth celebrating.

Circumnavigating the globe isn’t the first momentous achievement we’ve marked down in the Orbotix history books. Since his release in December 2011, Sphero has memorably rolled in a straight line, launched the first augmented reality app of its kind, and grown into a 150lb behemoth that played with a pride of lions. We are extremely proud parents, but we couldn’t have done it without all of you. Get the stats below on your combined Sphero accomplishments to date.

Sphero: Bullseye Proof and Available in Target [VIDEO]

We’re incredibly excited that Sphero is now available in Target locations nationwide (or Tar-zhay, according to devoted guests). Target has done a spectacular job making its stores the hip, cool and affordable place for everyday families to shop. A walk down the aisle in Target is not a chore, but an adventure. As part of that adventure, Target guests can now find Sphero in the App Accessories section in Electronics or online.

One of the other things we love about Target is their passion for telling their brand story in a different, fun and very memorable way. Here at Orbotix, we share the same passion. Just take a look at the videos we created to announce Sphero’s availability at Target. They’re sure to make you laugh!

Sphero Rolls into Target Locations Nationwide

Sphero and Target make a perfect pair. Just think about it. Sphero is round. The Target logo is round. Bullseye, the adorable Target dog, would undoubtedly love Sphero. And in case you didn’t know, Sphero’s favorite color to glow is red. For all these reasons and more, we couldn’t be more excited to announce that you can now purchase Sphero in over 1,200 Target locations nationwide!
